A nd Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who had said, Before cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went forth without, and wept bitterly.

Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” He went out and wept bitterly.
