Т огава градските жители казаха на Йоас: Изведи сина си да бъде умъртвен, понеже той е съборил Вааловия жертвеник и понеже е отсякъл ашерата, която беше при него.

Then the men of the city said to Joash, “Bring out your son, so he may die. For he has torn down the altar of Baal. And he has cut down our goddess Asherah which was beside it.”
