З ащото съм го избрал {Еврейски: познал. Вж. Амос 3: 2}, за да заповяда на чадата си и на дома си след себе си да пазят Господния път, като вършат правда и правосъдие, за да направи Господ да стане с Авраама онова, което е говорил за него.

For I have known (chosen, acknowledged) him, so that he may teach and command his children and the sons of his house after him to keep the way of the Lord and to do what is just and righteous, so that the Lord may bring Abraham what He has promised him.
