Joshua 8:33 ~ Josué 8:33

A nd all Israel, and their elders and officers, and their judges, stood on this side of the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, that bare the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, as well the sojourner as the homeborn; half of them in front of mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of Jehovah had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.

Todo o Israel, estrangeiros e naturais da terra, com os seus líderes, os seus oficiais e os seus juízes, estavam em pé dos dois lados da arca da aliança do Senhor, diante dos sacerdotes levitas, que a carregavam. Metade do povo estava em pé, defronte do monte Gerizim, e metade, defronte do monte Ebal. Tudo conforme Moisés, servo do Senhor, tinha ordenado anteriormente, para que o povo de Israel fosse abençoado.
