N ow the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. And she besought him that he would cast forth the demon out of her daughter.

لَمْ تَكُن المَرْاَةُ يَهودِيَّةً، بَلْ فينِيقِيَّةً مِنْ سُورِيّا. وَتَوَسَّلَتْ إلَيهِ لِيُخرِجَ الرُّوحَ الشِّرِّيرَ مِنَ ابْنَتِها.
