J ehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

耶 和 華 不 輕 易 發 怒 ， 並 有 豐 盛 的 慈 愛 ， 赦 免 罪 孽 和 過 犯 ； 萬 不 以 有 罪 的 為 無 罪 ， 必 追 討 他 的 罪 ， 自 父 及 子 ， 直 到 三 、 四 代 。
