T hy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria; thy nobles are at rest; thy people are scattered upon the mountains, and there is none to gather them.

Păstorii tăi au aţipit, împărate al Asiriei, iar nobilii tăi se odihnesc! Poporul tău a fost împrăştiat pe munţi şi nu este nimeni să-i adune!
