A re there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Jehovah our God? therefore we will wait for thee; for thou hast made all these things.

Este oare printre idolii de nimic ai neamurilor vreunul care să aducă ploaie? Sau poate cerul să dea averse? Nu, ci Tu dai ploaie, Doamne, Dumnezeul nostru! De aceea, nădejdea noastră este în Tine, căci Tu eşti Cel Ce faci toate aceste lucruri.
