B ut the former governors that were before me were chargeable unto the people, and took of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

Mas os governantes anteriores, aqueles que me precederam, puseram um peso sobre o povo e tomavam dele quatrocentos e oitenta gramas de prata, além de comida e vinho. Até os seus auxiliares oprimiam o povo. Mas, por temer a Deus, não agi dessa maneira.
