A nd they took Absalom, and cast him into the great pit in the forest, and raised over him a very great heap of stones: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.

Poi presero Absalom, lo gettarono in una grande fossa nella foresta ed ammassarono sopra di lui un enorme mucchio di pietre; quindi tutto Israele fuggí, ciascuno alla sua tenda.
