A nd Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For Jehovah had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that Jehovah might bring evil upon Absalom.

Absalom e tutti gli uomini d’Israele dissero: «Il consiglio di Cusai, l’Archita, è migliore di quello di Aitofel». Il Signore aveva stabilito di rendere vano il buon consiglio di Aitofel, per far cadere la sciagura sopra Absalom.
