E xcept the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now hadst thou sent me away empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.

And if the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Dread and Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, surely you would have sent me away now empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and humiliation and the labor of my hands and rebuked you last night.
