A nd Gideon said to God, Let not your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Let me make trial only this once with the fleece, I pray you; let it now be dry only upon the fleece and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Ma Gedeone disse ancora a DIO: «Non si accenda la tua ira contro di me; io parlerò ancora una volta. Deh, lasciami fare la prova col vello ancora una volta soltanto. Rimanga asciutto solo il vello e ci sia rugiada su tutto il terreno all'intorno.
