S o Joshua smote all the land, the hill country, the South, the lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings. He left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the Lord, the God of Israel, commanded.

Hirió, pues, Josué toda la tierra: la región montañosa, el Neguev, la tierra baja y las laderas, y a todos sus reyes. No dejó ningún sobreviviente, sino que destruyó por completo a todo el que tenía vida, tal como el Señor, Dios de Israel, había mandado.
