B ut then Law came in, to expand and increase the trespass. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,

وَأمّا الشَّرِيعَةُ فَقَدْ جاءَتْ لِكَي يَزدادَ التَّعَدِّي عَلَى الشَّرِيعَةِ! لَكِنْ حَيثُ تَزدادُ الخَطِيَّةُ، تَزدادُ نِعمَةُ اللهِ أكثَرَ.
