H ow then was it credited ? Was it before or after he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised.

فَمَتَى اعتَبَرَ اللهُ إبراهِيمَ بارّاً بِناءً عَلَى إيمانِهِ؟ فَهَلْ كانَ ذَلِكَ وَهُوَ مَختُونٌ أمْ قَبلَ خِتانِهِ؟ بَلْ قَبلَ خِتانِهِ.
