T he commandant ordered that Paul be brought into the barracks, and that he be examined by scourging in order that might learn why the people cried out thus against him.

千 夫 長 就 吩 咐 將 保 羅 帶 進 營 樓 去 ， 叫 人 用 鞭 子 拷 問 他 ， 要 知 道 他 們 向 他 這 樣 喧 嚷 是 為 甚 麼 緣 故 。
