T hen Jesus said to them, I ask you, is it lawful and right on the Sabbath to do good '> so that someone derives advantage from it] or to do evil, to save a life '> make a soul safe] or to destroy it?

Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing. Does the Law say to do good on the Day of Rest or to do bad? To save life or to kill?”
