N ow the people kept waiting for Zachariah, and they wondered at his delaying in the sanctuary.

وَكانَ النّاسُ خارِجاً فِي انتِظارِ زَكَرِيّا وَهَمْ يَتَساءَلُونَ عَنْ سَبَبِ تَأخُّرِهِ فِي الهَيكَلِ.
