Jeremiah 38:9 ~ Jeremias 38:9

M y lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon or cistern pit; and he is liable to die of hunger and is dead in the place where he is, for there is no more bread left in the city.

o rei, senhor meu, estes homens fizeram mal em tudo quanto fizeram a Jeremias, o profeta, lançando-o na cisterna; de certo morrerá no lugar onde se acha, por causa da fome, pois não há mais pão na cidade.
