S urely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains, yet we considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God.

Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
