B y long forbearance and calmness of spirit a judge or ruler is persuaded, and soft speech breaks down the most bonelike resistance.

بِالصَّبْرِ وَبِطُولِ البالِ يَقتَنِعُ حَتَّى الحاكِمُ، وَالكَلامُ اللَّيِّنُ لا يُقاوَمُ.
