S o the king did not heed the people, for it was brought about of God, that the Lord might perform His word which He spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam son of Nebat.

Cosí il re non diede ascolto al popolo, perché l'andamento delle cose dipendeva da DIO, affinché l'Eterno portasse a compimento la sua parola, che aveva rivolto a Geroboamo, figlio di Nebat, per mezzo di Ahijah di Sciloh.
