S hemaiah the scribe, son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded them in the presence of the king, the princes, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites—one father’s house being taken alternately for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

Şemaia, fiul lui Netaneel, scriitorul, din seminţia lui Levi, i -a scris înaintea împăratului şi mai marilor, înaintea preotului Ţadoc şi Ahimelec, fiul lui Abiatar, şi înaintea căpeteniilor caselor părinteşti ale preoţilor şi Leviţilor. Au tras la sorţi cîte o casă părintească pentru Eleazar, şi au tras şi cîte una pentru Itamar.
