A fter this, David smote and subdued the Philistines, and took Gath and its villages out of the hand of the Philistines.

وَبَعْدَ مُدَّةٍ مِنَ الزَّمَنِ هاجَمَ داوُدُ الفِلِسْطِيِّينَ وَأخضَعَهُمْ، وَأخَذَ جَتَّ وَالقُرَى التّابِعَةَ لَها مِنْ سَيطَرَتِهِمْ.
