T hen he took his eldest son, who was to reign in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering on the wall. And there was great indignation, wrath, and bitterness against Israel; and they withdrew from and returned to their own land.

便 将 那 应 当 接 续 他 作 王 的 长 子 ， 在 城 上 献 为 燔 祭 。 以 色 列 人 遭 遇 耶 和 华 的 大 怒 ( 或 作 招 人 痛 恨 ) ， 於 是 三 王 离 开 摩 押 王 ， 各 回 本 国 去 了 。
