A nd Gedaliah swore to them and their men, saying, Do not be afraid of the Chaldean officials. Dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

Ghedaliah giurò ad essi e ai loro uomini, dicendo: «Non abbiate paura dei servi dei Caldei, rimanete nel paese, servite il re di Babilonia e vi troverete bene».
