W hen Jehu left there, he met Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He saluted him and said to him, Is your heart right, as my heart is with yours? Jehonadab answered, It is. If it is, give me your hand. He gave him his hand, and Jehu took him up into the chariot.

După ce a plecat de acolo, s-a întâlnit cu Iehonadab, fiul lui Recab, care venea să-l întâlnească. Iehu l-a binecuvântat şi i-a zis: – Inima ta este tot atât de sinceră cum este şi inima mea faţă de tine? – Este! i-a răspuns Iehonadab. – Dacă este aşa, a zis Iehu, dă-mi mâna. Iehonadab i-a dat mâna şi Iehu l-a suit în car.
