2 Samuel 23:17 ~ ﺻﻤﻮﺋﻴﻞ ﺍﻟﺜﺎﻧﻲ 23:17

A nd he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, to drink this. Is it not the blood of the men who went at the risk of their lives? So he would not drink it. These things did the three mighty men.

وَقالَ: «لا سَمَحَ اللهُ! كَيفَ أشرَبُ مِنْ هذا الماءَ؟ فكأنَّني أشرَبُ دَمَ الرِّجالِ الّذين خاطَرُوا بَحَياتِهِمْ مِنْ أجلِي.» فَرَفَضَ داوُدُ أنْ يَشْرَبَ الماءَ. وَقَدْ فَعَلَ الأبطالُ الثَّلاثَةُ كَثِيراً مِنَ البُطُولاتِ. جنودٌ شجعانٌ آخرون
