" U thoni gjithë banorëve të Sikemit: "Ç’është më e mirë për ju, që të gjithë shtatëdhjetë bijtë e Jerubaalit të mbretërojnë mbi ju, apo të mbretërojë mbi ju vetëm një?". Dhe mos harroni që unë rrjedh nga kocka dhe mishi juaj".

`Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, Which good for you -- the ruling over you of seventy men (all the sons of Jerubbaal), or the ruling over you of one man? -- and ye have remembered that I your bone and your flesh.'
