F alai, peço-vos, aos ouvidos de todos os cidadãos de Siquém: Que é melhor para vós? que setenta homens, todos os filhos de Jerubaal, dominem sobre vós, ou que um só domine sobre vós? Lembrai-vos também de que sou vosso osso e vossa carne.

`Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, Which good for you -- the ruling over you of seventy men (all the sons of Jerubbaal), or the ruling over you of one man? -- and ye have remembered that I your bone and your flesh.'
