N ë vitin e nëntë të Hoseas, mbreti i Asirisë pushtoi Samarinë, i shpërnguli Izraelitët në Asiri dhe i vendosi në Halah dhe mbi Haborin, lumë i Gozanit, si dhe në qytetet e Medit.

In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria in battle, and took the people of Israel away to Assyria. He had them live in Halah and Habor, by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
