M breti u dha këtë urdhër Joabit, Abishait dhe Itait: "Për hirin tim, silluni me kujdes me të riun Absalom!". Tërë populli e dëgjoi kur mbreti e dha këtë urdhër të gjithë komandantëve lidhur me Absalomin.

The king told Joab and Abishai and Ittai, “Be gentle toward the young man Absalom because of me.” And all the people heard him say this to all the leaders about Absalom.
