T hen said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.

Entonces Saúl le dijo: «David, hijo mío: reconozco que he pecado. Regresa conmigo. Nunca más te haré daño, puesto que has tenido mi vida en alta estima. Por el contrario, yo he actuado como un necio; ¡he cometido un gran error!»
