T hen said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.

Allora Saul disse: «Ho peccato; ritorna, figlio mio Davide; io non ti farò più alcun male, poiché oggi la mia vita è stata preziosa ai tuoi occhi; ecco, ho agito da stolto e ho commesso un grande errore».
