H e that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Cel ce trăieşte în păcat este de la diavolul, pentru că diavolul păcătuieşte de la început. Tocmai pentru aceasta a fost arătat Fiul lui Dumnezeu: ca să distrugă lucrările diavolului.
