A nd Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

وَاندَهَشَ بِيلاطُسُ مِنْ أنَّ يَسُوعَ قَدْ ماتَ بِهَذِهِ السُّرعَةِ. فَاسْتَدْعَى الضّابِطَ الرُّومانِيَّ المَسؤولَ، وَسَألَهُ إنْ كانَ يَسُوعُ قَدْ ماتَ مُنذُ فُترَةٍ طَويلَةٍ.
