b ecause they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.

pentrucă nu veniseră înaintea copiilor lui Israel cu pîne şi apă, şi pentrucă tocmiseră împotriva lor cu preţ de argint pe Balaam ca să -i blesteme. Dar Dumnezeul nostru a prefăcut blestemul în binecuvîntare.
