t he fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

وَتَوَقَّفَ تَدَفُّقُ الماءِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الأرْضِ. وَسَدَّتِ السَّماءُ نَوافِذَها، فَلَمْ يَعُدِ المَطَرُ يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ.
