A nd he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Dumnezeu i-a spus: – Ia-l pe fiul tău Isaac, pe singurul tău fiu, fiul pe care-l iubeşti, du-te în ţinutul Moria şi jertfeşte-l acolo ca ardere de tot pe unul dintre munţii despre care îţi voi spune.
