D epois ajuntou Jefté todos os homens de Gileade, e combateu contra Efraim, e os homens de Gileade feriram a Efraim; porque este lhes dissera: Fugitivos sois de Efraim, vós gileaditas que habitais entre Efraim e Manassés.

And Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim; and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye, Gilead, ye are fugitives of Ephraim in the midst of Ephraim, in the midst of Manasseh.
