Q uem crê no Filho de Deus, em si mesmo tem o testemunho; quem a Deus não crê, mentiroso o fez; porquanto não creu no testemunho que Deus de seu Filho deu. -

He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony within himself. He who does not believe God has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son.
