E m verdade vos digo que muitas viúvas havia em Israel nos dias de Elias, quando céu se fechou por três anos e seis meses, de sorte que houve grande fome por toda a terra;

It is true that there were many women whose husbands had died in the Jewish land when Elijah lived. For three and a half years there was no rain and there was very little food in the land.
