R esolveu o Senhor destruir o muro da filha de Sião; estendeu o cordel, não reteve a sua mão de fazer estragos; fez gemer o antemuro e o muro; eles juntamente se enfraquecem.

The Lord purposed to lay in ruins the wall of the Daughter of Zion. He marked it off by measuring line; He restrained not His hand from destroying. He made rampart and wall lament; they languished together.
