D esperta, desperta, veste-te de força, ó braço do Senhor; desperta como nos dias da antigüidade, como nas gerações antigas. Porventura não és tu aquele que cortou em pedaços a Raabe, e traspassou ao dragão,

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake as in the ancient days, In the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?
