M elhor é ir ã casa onde há luto do que ir a casa onde há banquete; porque naquela se vê o fim de todos os homens, e os vivos o aplicam ao seu coração.

It is better to go to a house of sorrow than to go to a house of much eating. For this is the end of all men, and the living takes it to heart.
