P or isso fez vir sobre eles o rei dos caldeus, o qual matou os seus mancebos ã espada, na casa do seu santuário, e não teve piedade nem dos mancebos, nem das donzelas, nem dos velhos nem dos decrépitos; entregou-lhos todos nas mãos.

And he brought up them the king of the Chaldees, and slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and spared not young man nor maiden, old man nor him of hoary head: he gave all into his hand.
