E ntão foi Davi a Baal-Perazim, e ali os derrotou; e disse: O Senhor rompeu os meus inimigos diante de mim, como as águas rompem barreiras. Por isso chamou o nome daquele lugar Baal-Perazim.

And David cometh in to Baal-Perazim, and David smiteth them there, and saith, `Jehovah hath broken forth mine enemies before me, as the breaking forth of waters;' therefore he hath called the name of that place Baal-Perazim.
