` Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, Which good for you -- the ruling over you of seventy men (all the sons of Jerubbaal), or the ruling over you of one man? -- and ye have remembered that I your bone and your flesh.'

«Deh, dite a tutti gli abitanti di Sichem: "Che cosa è meglio per voi, che tutti i settanta figli di Jerubbaal regnino su di voi, oppure che regni su di voi uno solo?". E ricordatevi che io sono vostre ossa e vostra carne».
