A nd the men of the city say unto Joash, `Bring out thy son, and he dieth, because he hath broken down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the shrine which by it.'

Allora la gente della città disse a Joash: «Conduci fuori tuo figlio e sia messo a morte, perché ha demolito l'altare di Baal e ha abbattuto l'Ascerah che gli stava vicino».
